Established in 2004, Ocean Deep Films is a collaboration of Taiwan's most internationally experienced filmmakers devoted to making quality movies and documentaries.
In 2005, Ocean Deep Films had produced feature film "Fishing Luck," which was screened at the Pusan and Tokyo Int'l Film Festival, "The Pain of Others," which won the Best Narrative Film at the Taipei Film Festival and a nomination for the Best Short Film at the Golden Horse Awards.
From 2006 to 2007, Ocean Deep continued to produce great works including "Chiang Ching-kuo," a documentary that received nationwide reviews, "God Man Dog," a film that consists of social issues and was selected by the New Currents Competition at the Pusan Int'l Film Festival, the International Forum of New Cinema at the Berlin Int'l Film Festival and won the E-Changer Award at the Fribourg Int'l Film Festival. The Sci-Fi romance film "The Wall-Passer" was screened at the Tokyo Int'l Film Festival and Brussels Int'l Festival of Fantastic Film.
Two more films were completed in 2008, "Winds of September," a coming of age film which won many recognitions including the Best Film for Asia New Talent Awards at the Shanghai Int'l Film Festival and the Best Screenplay at the Golden Horse Awards. The Japan-Taiwan co-production "Tea Fight" was screened at the Puchon Int'l Fantastic Film Festival and was the closing film at the Taipei Film Festival.
In 2009, Ocean Deep Films had produced the first Sweden-Taiwan co-production film "Miss Kicki," which won the Special Mention Award at the Pusan Int'l Film Festival, the Rainer-Werner-Fassbinder Prize at the Mannheim-Heidelberg Int'l Film Festival and the Telia Film Award at the Stockholm Int'l Film Festival.
In 2010, for the first time, Ocean Deep Films has produced the self-invested suspense film "Zoom Hunting." |
